Sharing Time in We-Experiences: A Critical Merleau-Pontian Re-Reading of Schütz’ Tuning-In Relationship

چکیده

Schütz’ tuning-in relationship designates sharing time as the ground of we-experiences, but Husserlian account that he relies upon for this argument seems to undermine very possibility doing so. I argue Merleau-Ponty’s conception temporality offers a more plausible shared via ‘transferability’ body schema. Disability theorists and critical phenomenologists, however, would remind us any we-experiences must recognize bodily difference. bodies diverse motilities can come share schema without risk ‘forced compliance’ if we jettison synchronization embrace improvisation paradigm schematic sharing: use example collective free illustrate flexible, emergent, bidirectional schemas that, claim, circumvent assimilationist tendencies looming in premised sameness.
